Burlington Economic Development Welcomes New Board Members

Burlington, September 6, 2023 | Burlington Economic Development (Burlington EcDev) is pleased to announce significant additions to its Board of Directors. The organization welcomes Ron Laidman as the new Board Chair and Daniel Kube as Vice Chair, along with four new board members: Kuljit Bhogal, Leslie Cooke-Bithrey, Vanessa Dupuis, and City of Burlington Ward 5 Councillor Paul Sharman.
Burlington EcDev bids farewell to departing board members Dr. David Conrath, Gordon Kack, and outgoing Chair Randall Smallbone, expressing gratitude for their invaluable contributions to the organization.
Ron Laidman's appointment as Board Chair brings a wealth of strategic leadership expertise to Burlington EcDev. He is well-prepared to guide the organization in achieving its mission of fostering economic growth and innovation within the Burlington community.
In the role of Vice Chair, Daniel Kube introduces a fresh perspective, aligned with Burlington EcDev's commitment to fostering innovation. His entrepreneurial background makes him a valuable addition to the board.
Joining the board are four new members, each bringing unique skills and perspectives. Kuljit Bhogal, Leslie Cooke-Bithrey, and Vanessa Dupuis are poised to contribute their diverse expertise to Burlington EcDev's mission. Their insights will bolster the organization's efforts in positioning Burlington to attract new jobs and talent.
City of Burlington Ward 5 Councillor Paul Sharman returns to the board, bringing a deep understanding of municipal governance and a dedication to fostering economic development within the city.
