| $10In order to be successful in business, leadership styles and personalities need to be very different in the environment of early stage companies compared to large, mature ones.
Building teams for any operation, but particularly for innovation, requires an understanding of the dynamics of the teambuilding process as well as the characteristics of different team member types and most important the leadership style required for each of the stages of the team’s evolution.
This series will provide understanding of different leadership and management styles, explain how to effectively build team that complements corporate culture and how to attract and retain entrepreneurial-minded, innovative team that supports corporate growth.

Bios:
As a pioneer of the philosophy that the Human Resources function be recognized as a strategic enabler, aimed at delivering sustainable organizational change and enhancing business performance, Judy held senior level positions with both Canadian & International HR Firms spanning a period of 22 years. Playing a pivotal role in uniting company cultures & streamlining operations, Judy now offers her expertise to technology start-up operations as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence with Haltech.
Holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering from the University of Toronto. Since 1985 he has held senior executive management positions with technically based businesses in start-up, turnaround or acquisition situations where his skills at change management have brought considerable success in the commercialization of new technologies. His experience in both private and public companies, both domestically and internationally, spans a broad variety of industries, including bio- and advanced materials, precision manufacturing, recycling, waste to energy and medical devices.Dr. Maddever is currently Advisor and Portfolio Manager for Bioindustrial Innovation Canada, a not for profit accelerator which makes equity investments in Ontario sustainable technology companies.
