Personal data and privacy discussions are a trending topic this year. From the Cambridge Analytica and Facebook data scandal to growing concerns over ad tech fraud, definite solutions and regulations are needed more than ever, today.

The stated purpose of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (in effect as of May 25, 2018) is to strengthen the protection of personal data, and create a set of ‘data rights’ for European Union residents. As a result, it will regulate the flow of data across borders.
