Mercer-MacKay is the 19th Company to Join the TechPlace LaunchPad Program

Burlington, ON, February 20, 2020 – Mercer-MacKay is the 19th Company to Join the TechPlace LaunchPad Program

Mercer-MacKay, an innovative digital marketing agency, becomes the 19th company selected by the LaunchPad Committee to join the increasingly popular program at TechPlace

The company is preparing to take their newest application, MMS, to market.  MMS is a marketing destination that combines data-driven insights with thought-leadership storytelling and will be the first marketing automation software completely catered to tech companies. MMS will provide its users with the resources they need to market themselves by building compelling marketing campaigns.  Features will include real-time data-driven dashboards, marketing templates and workflows, resources for developing thought leadership campaigns, and support on how to locate and target the right customers. The application is targeted primarily at small and medium-sized tech companies and departments of larger tech firms.

Mercer-MacKay has been an endorsed user at TechPlace since early 2019, where they’ve been able to tap into the support of Haltech to grow and scale their company. “We have been a fully virtual team until now so having a LaunchPad office at TechPlace will give our development team a space to collaborate face-to-face and accelerate our efforts for launching MMS,” explains CEO of Mercer-MacKay, Gail Mercer-MacKay.

Mercer-MacKay also spoke about the support they have received from Haltech. “We have really benefitted from the Strategic Connections, Advisory Services and even some new business opportunity introductions that Haltech has facilitated for us.” She continued, “Haltech also helped us tap into the NRC-IRAP Program to receive funding that will support us in taking MMS to market. We are very excited to join the LaunchPad program and look forward to continuing to leverage the resources and support at TechPlace.”

Anita Cassidy, Executive Director of Burlington Economic Development, also extended a warm welcome to Mercer-MacKay. “We look forward to supporting Mercer-MacKay’s continued growth here at TechPlace and supporting the launch of MMS.” She continued, ” I am confident that through the space and resources offered to LaunchPad residents, Mercer-MacKay will have all the tools they need to successfully develop, launch and grow their application.”

Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward also commented on the news that Mercer-Mackay will join the LaunchPad program. “It’s great to see another innovative company set up shop at TechPlace. This reflects the dynamic environment that our city offers for technology companies to scale here,” she said. “TechPlace continues to provide innovative companies with the resources and support they need to grow in our community.”

MMS’s first free module will be launched at the end of February 2020. The module will be focused on helping companies develop effective award applications. Mercer-Mackay’s first full commercial product will be launched at the end of June 2020 which will have additional modules available through a subscription service
