Mercer-MacKay Joins the TechPlace LaunchPad Program

Tech Funding in the GTA Reaches Record $3.1 Billion in 2019

Mercer-MacKay, an innovative digital marketing agency, is the 19th company to join the LaunchPad program at TechPlace. They have been an endorsed user at TechPlace since early 2019, where they’ve been able to tap into the support of Haltech to grow and scale their company. The company is preparing to take their newest application, MMS, to market and its first free module will be available this month.

Tech companies in the GTA received $3 billion in investments in 2019, up 68 percent from 2018. The number of investment rounds were also up by 16 percent from 2018. The most active investors in 2019 were BDC, MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund, iNovia, Round13, Real Ventures, and Espresso Capital. This is great news for current and aspiring tech companies in Halton Region, part of the GTA.

Thinking of submitting a project application but not sure where to start? Join NGen in Hamilton on March 26th for a project application deep dive. Their staff will walk participants through the proposal approval process, best practices for answering application questions, how to develop an IP strategy, and how to submit your financials. IoT Quick Start Program
MTechHub, the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC), and Mohawk College are pleased to announce the launch of the exciting Internet of Things (IoT) Quick Start Program. Women as Career Coaches 2020
On March 25th, HIEC will be hosting its annual Women as Career Coaches (WACC) event. This event involves a variety of women from different occupational pathways to help young women become better informed about the many career options available to them. Female mentors representing all occupational sectors will act as career coaches to empower young women to take control of their futures.
