TechPlace COVID-19 Update
Update February 16, 2021: Halton Region entered the Red Control Zone under the Provincial COVID-19 Framework. TechPlace’s policy remains the same.
Update December 22, 2020: As of December 26th, Ontario will enter another lockdown. In accordance with these restrictions, TechPlace will remain open to essential LaunchPad companies and Co-location Partners and closed to endorsed users and visitors. We require face coverings in all areas unless the worker is in their private office. Patrons are required to bring their own masks. While our doors remain closed to the general public, we are dedicated to continuing to support businesses.
Update August 4, 2020: As of August 4th, TechPlace entered Stage 2 of our reopening plan. This stage welcomed back all current LaunchPad companies and Co-Location partners to the space. TechPlace is currently still closed to endorsed users. Keep an eye on our social media channels for up to date information about our reopening plans as we move forward.

All individuals working from TechPlace offices must follow the contactless check-in process set up on the iPads at the front and back entrances. Social distancing and wearing face masks is required. Large group activities and events are not permitted, and meeting rooms and the boardroom have posted maximum capacity limits posted. Remote work is still encouraged and those who are sick must stay home and notify their respective supervisor if COVID-19 is suspected. Learn more here.
Update July 21, 2020: As of July 2nd, TechPlace entered Stage 1 of our staged re-opening plan. Stage 1 welcomed back TechPlace’s current LaunchPad companies and residents that define themselves as essential businesses. Pending further City and provincial guidance, stage 2 of the re-opening strategy will see TechPlace open to all current LaunchPad companies and Co-Location partners as of August 4, 2020.
