2022 COVID-19 Update

March 22, 2022

As of March 22nd, all of Burlington’s mask bylaws and physical distancing bylaws have been revoked. This means TechPlace will no longer require masks to enter the space. When it comes to masking, some people are ready to remove their masks, while others may not be – and that’s okay. We ask the TechPlace community to be supportive of everyone’s decisions.  All visitors are required to sign in using the iPad at reception. Please do not visit if you’re feeling unwell. March 14, 2022

On March 10th, 2022, the government of Ontario announced it will be removing the mandatory masking requirement for most settings on March 21st. Exceptions include public transit, health care settings, long-term care homes, and congregate care settings.

The City of Burlington and Halton Region both have mask by-laws in place. City and Regional Council will be meeting on March 22nd and 23rd respectively, to discuss and review their masking requirements. Mask mandates will remain in place at TechPlace until further notice.

March 1, 2022

Effective March 1st, TechPlace will no longer require visitors to show proof of vaccination, following the direction from the Government of Ontario and the City of Burlington. Masks, physical distancing, and active screening are still required until further notice.

January 4, 2022

As of January 5, 2022, Ontario is temporarily implementing more public health measures by moving the province into Step Two of its Roadmap to Reopen. This includes closing indoor meeting and event spaces like TechPlace, until January 26th 2022.
